I guess I should start with some background. My regular “day” job is in the finance industry, but that’s not what this blog is about. Rather, this blog is about my personal investing. I often run across investment ideas that I want to explore in a little more detail, and writing them out for a real (or imaginary as you may be) audience should instill a little discipline in my thought process. Most of these ideas are relegated to the small and micro cap equity arena, but I am by no means locked into one specific investment genre – wherever there appears to be value, I hope to be there.
Also, as the title of this blog conveys, I do have a background in production agriculture. I may pepper in some loose commentary about agriculture investments as I see fit, but again, only if I see value (or anti-value as the case may be). For instance - I can combine a small cap equity investment with a little background in agriculture to write-up Ceres Global Ag (TSE:CRP) – which I plan to do in the near future. How’s that for a segue?
Bottom line full disclosure - I am not here to sell you anything. I have no plans to put advertising on this blog. Basically, this blog is for me and my own enjoyment. If my posts resonate with you, or if you want to debate my thesis on a particular idea, please feel free to strike up a conversation in the comments.
One last point regarding comments – keep them clean. Any vulgarity or inappropriate language (as determined by me and my standards) will be deleted. Again, as this blog is mainly for my personal enjoyment, and I don’t enjoy rude behavior, any such comments will be deleted. Same goes for solicitation, referral, or sales comments.
Enough boring details – let’s get down to “separating the wheat from the chaff” . . .
